The Camargue is the area where the river Rhone empties into the Mediterranean See. It is a unique landscape almost void of people. Instead, it is home to more than 400 species of birds, among them - and easily to spot - the famous flamingos. Another species I involuntarily learned to live in the Camargue are mosquitos.
